Marianna Pizzolato - mezzo

Marianna Pizzolato made her debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro with Il Viaggio a Reims, becoming a reference performer for the main Rossini roles, as well as for Baroque and eighteenth century’s repertoire. She sang in the most prestigious theaters in the world under conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Antonio Pappano, Alberto Zedda, Bruno Campanella and Daniele Gatti, just to name a few. Considered one of the foremost voices of our time, Marianna Pizzolato had recently made her outstanding debut at the Opéra de Paris as Angelina in La Cenerentola, at the Santa Fe Opera (US debut) as Malcom in La Donna del Lago and she just made another step into Verdian repertory making her debut as Fenena in Nabucco at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, besides Placido Domingo. Mrs. Pizzolato has just performed Orphée et Euridyce (Berlioz vers.) at the Festival Berlioz in La Côte-Saint-André.

 Future plans: Maria Stuarda and Nabucco at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona; Falstaff at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; Rota’s Mysterium in Naples and Rome; La Cenerentola at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège and at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville; L’Italiana in Algeri at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse; Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples. On the concert side, Marianna Pizzolato will perform Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle in Lucerne, Verdi's Requiem in Turin with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai and in Leipzig with the Gewandhaus Leipzig. After her successful Japanese debut last March, she will return to Tokyo for a solo concert in 2015.

Christian Elsner- Tenor

With his celebrated debuts at the Philhamonie Berlin in the titlerole of Wagner’s Parsifal in a concertant version in April 2011 and at the Semperoper Dresden as Siegmund in Wagner’s Walküre in February 2010 Christian Elsner established himself in the first league of Wagner tenors and proves once again his wide range of repertoire. As concert singer, Christian Elsner is a regular guest performer at international festivals and in all the major concert halls around the world, from Berlin, Vienna, Milan and London to New York and Tokyo. He has worked with conductors such as Herbert Blomstedt, Adam Fischer, Carlo Maria Giulini, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Thomas Hengelbrock, Marek Janowski, Mariss Jansons, Fabio Luisi, Lorin Maazel, Sir Neville Marriner, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Sir Simon Rattle and David Zinman, and has been involved in numerous radio productions and CD recordings.

Upcoming engagements include the role of Loge in a concertant version of Wagner’s Rheingold with the RSB-Sinfonieorchestra under Marek Janowski in Bukarest, Beethovens C-Major Mass in Munich with the BR-Symphoniyorchestra under Thomas Hengelbrock, Beethovens 9.Symphony in Philadelphia with the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra under Yannick Nezet-Seguin and in Munich with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra under Lorin Maazel, and Mahlers Lied von der Erde with the DSO-Berlin under Kent Nagano and with the Wiener Philhamoniker under Sir Simon Rattle.
